hasee toh phasee
Strictly a morning show only!!!
I could not figure out why this title ...
There have been runaway brides and then there is runaway sister of
the bride, apparently a strange point but the hero of the movie is Parineeti,
who is master of all things, a showcase often used for the first movie. She is
an engineer, doctor, dancer, singer, automotive expert, the best thing though
is she talks more through eyes.
Initially the movie is very fast, so fast that it covers 10 years in
10 minutes, and then it slows down till the intermission until it finds the
plot.
It revolves around story of marriage of an emotional dhakkan, played
by good looking Siddharth Malhotra (except for initial few scenes and songs
with uncut hair) and a sweet looking Adah Sharma (bijli ka xxxx taar) who is continuously
pressing the emotional dhakkan monetarily. Their break up - patch up story is
of 7 years which takes a sudden turn in 3 days when the sister of Adah Sharma
comes back in the house / movie after running in the wedding of the elder
sister.
This sister played by Parineeti who till date was only intelligent becomes
emotional and falls in love and after few tipsy turns the guy also feels the
same, and then they get together, pretty simple plot presented in bit
complicated way but directed nicely.
It portrays to be rom-com but it is more a father-daughter
movie.
2 noteworthy characters
` kanpuriya idal from the groom side, he should have been given more
footage in the movie
` an uncle from bride side, whose catchword was baki
2 noteworthy dialogues
Parineeti - “I promise I won’t run away…Life-time guarantee,”
Siddharth – “It takes a moment to break a relationship” (believes
more in commitment.
The movie can be seen ignoring few occasional lapses, could have
been edited in a better way to reduce run time by 20 minutes.
