Image - YouTube Ohh My Dog Review — Two Journeys, One Beautiful Bond Intro:  Ohh My Dog  is a 2026 Hindi drama written and directed by Amit Rai, who also directed  OMG 2 . The film stars Pankaj Tripathi, Rajesh Kumar, Pawan Malhotra and Geeta Agarwal Sharma, with dogs playing an important part in the story. It is currently streaming on Netflix. Review (90 Words):  Amit Rai, who wrote and directed   OMG 2 , could easily have made   Ohh My Dog   as OMG 3! The film follows two parallel stories — Oscar trying to rescue Prince in Patna and Appu trying to rescue Momo in Assam. You will smile, you may cry, but you will be happy by the end. I particularly liked how the background score changes with both journeys. Appu's mother tying a knot in her saree is another lovely emotional touch. A little stretched, yes, but still a   must watch . It also reminded me of   777 Charlie . Full Review:  Amit Rai wrote and directed   OMG 2 . And af...

Image - YouTube OMG 2 — More Serious, Still Entertaining Intro:  OMG 2  is a 2023 Hindi comedy-drama written and directed by Amit Rai. A spiritual sequel to  OMG – Oh My God! (2012), the film takes up the subject of sex education in India, with Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. The film is currently streaming on Netflix. Review (90 Words):  OMG 2   is little different from the first film. While   OMG – Oh My God!   had more comedy and a breezier approach, this one is heavier on dialogue and takes its subject more seriously. But that doesn't mean the humour disappears. There are enough funny moments to keep the film engaging while it talks about sex education, something we still don't discuss openly enough. Pankaj Tripathi is excellent, and Akshay Kumar fits well into the film's unusual setup. It may feel preachy at times, but the subject makes   OMG 2   worth watching. #OMG2 #OMG2Review #AkshayKumar #Pank...

Image - YouTube Sam Bahadur — Vicky Kaushal Becomes Sam Manekshaw Intro:  Sam Bahadur  is a 2023 Hindi biographical war drama directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film follows the life and military career of Sam Manekshaw, India's first Field Marshal, with Vicky Kaushal playing the lead role. Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub are also part of the cast. Review (90 Words):  What a transformation for Vicky Kaushal from   Raazi ! And perhaps that is also a great observation about Meghna Gulzar's work. In   Raazi , he plays someone on the other side of Sehmat's mission; here, he becomes Sam Manekshaw, a completely different personality. I liked how Vicky changes his body language, voice and mannerisms for the role. The film also gives you a sense of the man behind the military uniform. After watching   Talvar ,   Raazi   and now   Sam Bahadur , I can see Meghna's different approaches to real stories. For me, this...

Image - YouTube Raazi — When a Spy Story Becomes Personal Intro:  Raazi  is a 2018 Hindi spy thriller directed by Meghna Gulzar and starring Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is adapted from Harinder Sikka’s book  Calling Sehmat  and is based on the story of an Indian woman who is sent into Pakistan as a spy during the 1971 war. Review (90 Words):  Coming from Meghna Gulzar after   Talvar ,   Raazi   was certainly a must-watch for me.   A daughter. A wife. A spy.   Three identities, but which one comes first when you are put in a situation like this? I kept wondering — are we human first, or does the nation come before being human? Alia Bhatt carries this conflict beautifully, while Jaideep Ahlawat leaves a strong impression. The detailing may be a little less sharp than   Talvar , but Meghna still creates tension through people, relationships and small moments. The supporting cast adds to the experience. A gri...

Kapadia, Heeraz Marfatia and Nitya Mehra. The series stars Aneet Padda, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Raghubir Yadav, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Arjun Mathur. It follows a 17-year-old survivor seeking justice against a powerful godman. The series premiered on JioHotstar on 25 September 2026. Review (90 Words):  I like it when a series takes me somewhere I haven't seen often, and  Hunkkaar  does that with Orchha. It also starts right from the word go, with the first episode being the strongest for me. The direction is detailed, and the background score does a great job with both tension and silence. The courtroom portions are handled well, and the performances are consistently good. Raghubir Yadav deserves a special mention for a completely different avatar. The episodes are long and pacing becomes an iss...

Image - YouTube Tabbar Review – An Immersive Family Thriller Intro:  Tabbar  is a Hindi-Punjabi thriller series created by Harman Wadala and directed by Ajitpal Singh. The SonyLIV series premiered in 2021 and features Pavan Malhotra, Supriya Pathak, Kanwaljit Singh, Ranvir Shorey, Gagan Arora and Sahil Mehta in key roles. The story revolves around a family caught in a situation that gradually changes everything around them. Review (90 Words):   Tabbar   turned out to be an immersive eight-episode thriller for me. What I liked most was how the series keeps building tension without rushing the story. The family remains at the centre of everything, and every new situation makes you more curious about what happens next. It is dark, intense and at times quite unsettling, but that works well for the story. The performances add a lot to the experience, and the overall mood keeps you hooked. There are very few moments where you feel like stepping away. For me, this was a ver...

Image - YouTube Your Honor Review – When a Judge Breaks the Law for His Son Intro:  Your Honor   is a Hindi crime thriller series directed by Eeshwar Nivas and adapted from the Israeli series   Kvodo . Jimmy Sheirgill plays Judge Bishan Khosla, whose life changes after his son becomes involved in a hit-and-run case. The series explores family, law, crime and the choices people make when the two come into conflict. The first season released in 2020, followed by Season 2 in 2021, both streaming on SonyLIV. Review(90 Words):  I liked both seasons of  Your Honor . What starts with a judge trying to protect his son slowly turns into a much bigger mess involving crime, gangs, police and the law. Jimmy Sheirgill is excellent, but Mita Vashisht really stands out for me. I liked how the series keeps putting its characters in situations where family and professional duty don't easily go together. Season 2 continues the story well and gives enough twists to keep you...

Image - Netflix Papa Yaar Review – Zakir Khan Makes You Laugh, Feel and Remember Intro:  Papa Yaar  is a 2026 stand-up comedy special by Zakir Khan, built around his childhood memories, growing-up years and his relationship with his father. Running for around 70 minutes, the special mixes comedy, storytelling and emotion as Zakir looks at the many shades of a father-son relationship.  Papa Yaar  is streaming on Netflix. Review (90 Words):  These days, so many movies and series are about murders, horror, revenge and things going wrong. So   Papa Yaar   felt like a breath of fresh air. Zakir Khan takes very ordinary father-son moments and makes them spectacular. He makes you laugh, but somewhere along the way, you also feel a lot. I liked how he picks up one joke, leaves it, and brings it back later in a completely new structure — sometimes two or three times — and somehow makes it even funnier. And those credits! Seeing both his mother and father's name...

Image - YouTube New Delhi Times Review – A 40-Year-Old Film That Still Feels Relevant Intro:  New Delhi Times  is a 1986 Hindi political thriller directed by Ramesh Sharma and written by Gulzar. Shashi Kapoor plays Vikas Pande, a newspaper editor who finds himself caught in a political investigation that goes much deeper than it first appears. The film also stars Sharmila Tagore, Om Puri and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Review:  I watched   New Delhi Times   on YouTube and honestly, this is a must-watch. Made almost 40 years ago, the film still feels surprisingly relevant. What I liked most is how tightly the story is written. There is very little unnecessary drama, and for nearly two hours, the film keeps you involved. The performances are another strong point, with Shashi Kapoor leading the way and the supporting cast doing equally well. It is not the kind of old film you watch only for nostalgia. The subject still makes you think. Full Review:  Some films belon...

Image - YouTube No Reservations Review – A Comfort Film That Serves Food, Family and Second Chances Intro:  No Reservations  is a 2007 romantic comedy-drama directed by Scott Hicks and starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Aaron Eckhart, and Abigail Breslin. Now streaming on Netflix, the film follows the life of a highly disciplined chef whose perfectly ordered world changes when she suddenly becomes the guardian of her young niece. Set against the backdrop of a professional kitchen, the film blends food, relationships, grief, and personal growth into a warm, feel-good story. Review (90 Words):   No Reservations  was a Netflix suggestion, and I’m glad I picked it. Looking at the poster, I assumed it would simply be another chef or food-based film. Even the title made me think of a busy restaurant, but by the end I felt it was really about living life with  no reservations . The story is predictable, yet it stays engaging because ...

Featuring voice performances by  Michael B. Jordan  and  Juno Temple , the film follows two very different creatures who accidentally exchange bodies and are forced to understand each other’s worlds. Built around fantasy, humour, and emotional storytelling, the film combines imaginative animation with a family-friendly message. Review (90 Words):  While many comparisons are being made with bigger animated films, I watched  Swapped  without carrying those expectations, and maybe that helped me enjoy it more. The film turned out to be a soothing and emotionally warm experience. The animation is visually beautiful, but I liked its emotional simplicity more. The story remains easy to follow while quietly carrying ...

Image - Netflix Freedom Writers Review – A Powerful Story About Rewriting Identity and Finding Voice Intro:   Freedom Writers  (2007) is an American biographical drama directed by  Richard LaGravenese , starring  Hilary Swank . The film is based on the real-life story of teacher  Erin Gruwell  and her students, inspired by  The Freedom Writers Diary . Set in a troubled high school classroom, the film explores how education, storytelling, and empathy can transform lives. Review (90 Words):  Freedom Writers   is a deeply moving film about identity, voice, and transformation. It shows how students trapped in labels slowly find themselves through writing. The idea of using journals as a tool for expression works beautifully, turning pain into connection. While parts of the film may feel slightly idealistic, the emotional impact is strong. It is not just about teaching, but about listening and understanding. The journey feels overwhelming at times...

The film follows the story of a young woman who, after being kidnapped, unexpectedly begins to discover a deeper sense of freedom. Known for its unconventional narrative and powerful music by  A.R. Rahman ,  Highway  remains one of Imtiaz Ali’s most discussed films. Now streaming on Prime Video, the film continues to divide opinion while holding a special place in modern Hindi cinema. Image - Wikipedia Review (90 Words) - Watching  Highway  again after 12 years feels different. What once seemed unrealistic now feels layered and psychological. This isn’t just a road movie; it’s a journey of trauma, freedom, and healing. The landscapes mirror Veera’s inner transformation, and A.R. Rahman’...

Released in theatres on  20 February 2026 , the film explores complex themes of justice, patriarchy, and accountability through an intense legal battle. Known for socially driven storytelling, Anubhav Sinha once again steps into uncomfortable territory with a narrative that questions institutions, families, and society at large. Review (90 Words) -   Assi is a hard-hitting film with powerful performances from everyone involved. It makes you uncomfortable, and that discomfort is intentional. The dialogues are thoughtful and sharp. The first half is extremely engaging — you don’t get time to think about anything else. However, the second half loses focus because of an unnecessary sub-plot, which slightly weakens the impact. Sti...

This new chapter stars  Barun Sobti and  Mona Singh  in lead roles, diving into another dark murder investigation set in Punjab. The six-episode season continues the show’s signature mix of crime, emotional depth, and layered storytelling. REVIEW (90 Words):  It’s rare for a sequel to match the quality of the first season, but  Kohrra Season 2  does exactly that. Like Season 1, it is a slow burner with layered storytelling and another gripping murder mystery. The protagonists are dealing with both personal and professional struggles, which adds emotional weight to the investigation. The narration pull...
