hasee toh phasee

Strictly a morning show only!!! I could not figure out why this title ... There have been runaway brides and then there is runaway sister of the bride, apparently a strange point but the hero of the movie is Parineeti, who is master of all things, a showcase often used for the first movie. She is an engineer, doctor, dancer, singer, automotive expert, the best thing though is she talks more through eyes. Initially the movie is very fast, so fast that it covers 10 years in 10 minutes, and then it slows down till the intermission until it finds the plot. It revolves around story of marriage of an emotional dhakkan, played by good looking Siddharth Malhotra (except for initial few scenes and songs with uncut hair) and a sweet looking Adah Sharma (bijli ka xxxx taar) who is continuously pressing the emotional dhakkan monetarily. dedh ishqiya

In my school / college time, any must see movie we used to refer as it is a part of syllabus / course, so it can’t be missed. Same goes for dedh ishqiya, it can’t be missed. Not a so called sequel barring the name, though the name kept its reputation. While Ishqiya was revenge set up in dark, dedh ishqiya is dark comedy. Vidya Balan was definitely missed in the sequel. The acting and screenplay is quite acute and slightly pungent so much that the story is of course relevant but marginally important. Babban and Khalu return though Babban returns with more intensity than Khalu, typical Bhopali accent and first scene... blank screen voice narrating parrot story was the perfect start followed by natural laughter of Mushtaq Bhai (sar katu ya xxxxx ) Khalu Jaan’s dialogue that “yaad aaye kahan to itelaah kar dijiyega, hum bhi kab se doondh rahe hai apne aap ko” was just the just statement.
