Vidaamuyarchi: A Stylish Thriller That Falls Short

Streaming on Netflix, Vidaamuyarchi (meaning Perseverance) is a Tamil action thriller starring Ajith Kumar, Arjun Sarja, and Trisha Krishnan. Set in Azerbaijan, the story follows a man trying to rescue his wife from a mysterious group. Inspired by the 1997 film Breakdown, the plot is predictable with obvious twists making the tension ineffective. While the film starts strong with good pacing and tension, it quickly loses grip. The storytelling lacks freshness, and execution weakens the impact. Watch it for the star cast, not the thrill.
