Holland: A Stylish Thriller That Fails to Engage

Despite an intriguing trailer, Holland disappoints with a sluggish first half that tests patience. The mystery builds too slowly, making it hard to stay engaged. While the twist adds some intrigue, it’s predictable, and the rushed ending leaves much to be desired. Mimi Cave’s direction gives the film a stylish look, and Nicole Kidman shines as Nancy, balancing poise with unease. Matthew Macfadyen remains enigmatic, and Gael García Bernal is underutilized. A thriller that starts with promise but ultimately misses the mark.
