Delhi Crime Season 3 Review – Slow, Sensitive & Strong, With Gritty Performances

Intro: Delhi Crime returns with its third season, directed by Tanoj Chopra and streaming on Netflix from 13 November 2025. This crime drama, created by Richie Mehta, focuses on a new case this time — a human-trafficking network inspired by the tragic Baby Falak incident. The series features a powerful ensemble including Shefali Shah, Huma Qureshi, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Sayani Gupta and Mita Vashisth, each adding weight to this emotional and socially relevant story.

Review (90 Words): Delhi Crime Season 3 can be watched on its own, as the story is not linked to earlier seasons. This season is a slow burner, mainly because it deals with human trafficking and a heartbreaking baby case. The show wants you to feel, understand and move with the story. The investigation is shown at a real pace — frustrating, tiring, yet honest. The detailing is impressive, the performances strong, especially Mita Vashisth in one scene. Background music could be better, but overall, it’s a solid and watchable season.

Review: Delhi Crime Season 3 chooses a different route from earlier seasons. Instead of rushing through a high-speed chase, it slows down — intentionally — to show the disturbing reality of human trafficking and the emotional weight of the “baby case” at its centre. This season can be watched independently, and reviewing it in isolation helps avoid unnecessary comparisons.

The story unfolds like a true investigation: slow, tiring, frustrating, and emotionally heavy. Instead of dramatic shortcuts, the show presents the procedures at real-life pace, allowing viewers to feel the pressure and helplessness faced by the team. This realism becomes the season’s biggest strength.

The detailing is excellent — one young girl remembers a container number because all digits were prime numbers, revealing her love for maths; in another moment, the inspector recalls the baby’s small belonging given to her in episode one. These touches show thoughtful writing and emotional layering.

Performances are consistently strong. Shefali Shah returns with her trademark grit, but Huma Qureshi brings fresh energy as “Badi Didi,” adding a new dynamic to the team. Mita Vashisth surprisingly steals one powerful scene, showing how deeply she commands the screen. The rest of the cast supports beautifully.

There are misses too. The background score doesn’t match the intensity of the subject, at times weakening the atmosphere. The story also reveals the criminals early on, which is a creative risk — this time, the viewer stays ahead of the police. While it adds a human angle to the offenders, it also makes the police look slower and the storyline slightly predictable.

Yet the emotional honesty remains. The show reminds us that cops also carry personal lives, heartbreaks, and weight beyond their badges. Some standout dialogues stay with you:

• “Ask for forgiveness, not permission.”
• “It’s naïve to think you can be the saviour all the time.”
• “What’s not fair is that you just can’t delegate.”
• “This is the most selfless and selfish thing you will ever do.” (on adoption)
