The Family Man Season 3 Review – High Expectations, Uneven Episodes, But Manoj Bajpayee Still Holds It Together
Intro: The Family Man returns with its third season on Amazon Prime Video, created by Raj & DK. Released on 21 November 2025, this new chapter once again follows Srikant Tiwari, played by Manoj Bajpayee, as he balances family life and pressure-filled duties at TASC. The season brings together a strong cast including Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Dalip Tahil, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Nimrat Kaur, expanding the show’s political, emotional, and spy thriller universe.
REVIEW (90 Words): The Family Man 3 had huge expectations with Manoj Bajpayee and Jaideep Ahlawat, but it’s not close to earlier seasons. Some episodes work, some don’t. The gripping tension and black comedy that made the series special are much lower this time. Even after seven episodes, the story isn’t fully concluded, which adds to the uneven experience. Certain sub-plots feel stretched, and Jaideep’s character doesn’t get proper development. Watch this season only if you’re a big fan of the series or the two lead actors — they’re the main reason to continue.
REVIEW: Season 3 of The Family Man arrives with massive expectations, mainly because of its legacy and its near-perfect first season. With Manoj Bajpayee and Jaideep Ahlawat coming together, the excitement was obvious. But the season doesn’t fully match the high bar the franchise set earlier.
This chapter feels more uneven. Some episodes are engaging and remind you why the series became so popular, while others lose pace and feel stretched. The trademark blend of tension, wit, and black comedy is present in parts, but nowhere close to the impact of earlier seasons.
The major disappointment is the lack of closure. Even after seven episodes, the story doesn’t conclude properly, leaving viewers with a half-done ending. Several political and emotional threads feel incomplete, and some sub-plots are extended more than needed.
Manoj Bajpayee is the saving grace. His performance as Srikant Tiwari remains solid — tired, conflicted, funny, and real. Priyamani continues to bring depth to the family portions. Jaideep Ahlawat, though brilliant in his craft, doesn’t get the material he deserves. His role feels underwritten, and the accent choice for his backstory feels off, making the character less convincing.
The pacing is inconsistent. At times the show goes deep into character moments, while elsewhere it rushes past important events. The attempt to add humour works only in bursts. Some moments drag unnecessarily, and the music placement — especially rap tracks — feels forced and mismatched with the tone of the scenes.
Overall, the emotional and political layers feel more surface-level this time. The season touches on bigger issues but doesn’t explore them with the sharpness the series is known for. Fans will still watch it for Manoj Bajpayee, the world-building, and the occasional brilliance. But as a season, it’s the weakest of the three.
