But the film isn’t without flaws. The second half slows down noticeably and feels stretched, especially because of multiple songs and unnecessarily long emotional pauses. A tighter edit would have fixed the tonal ups and downs, making the humour and drama sharper. At times, the setup resembles a sit-com, with scenes confined within house interiors that look more like sets than real spaces.

Still, the film has a likeable energy. The emotional graph is familiar but relatable, and the messaging around love, age, acceptance, and family remains clear without becoming preachy. As a rom-com, it delivers enough warmth and fun to make it a pleasant one-time watch.
