Aap Jaisa Koi – Love, Language & the Weight of Patriarchy

Aap Jaisa Koi (2025) is a charming romantic drama streaming on Netflix, starring R. Madhavan as a quiet Sanskrit professor and Fatima Sana Shaikh as a lively French teacher. While the story is familiar, the direction is refreshing and the visuals—especially Kolkata in the monsoon—are stunning. Madhavan is outstanding, carrying much of the emotional weight. The second half dives into themes of patriarchy and personal freedom. Though predictable at times, the film’s soulfulness, subtle writing, and cultural richness make it a meaningful watch.

Dhoom Dhaam Review: A Forgettable Romp Despite the fresh pairing of  Yami Gautam Dhar  and  Pratik Gandhi ,  Dhoom Dhaam  struggles to leave an impact. This  romantic action comedy , directed by  Rishabh Seth , oscillates between a jumbled screenplay and out-of-place messaging. The concept lacks novelty, and the comical chase through Mumbai feels forced. With underwhelming performances and predictable tropes, the film fails to sustain interest.
