Brick Review – A Wall of Missed Potential

Brick, streaming on Netflix since July 17, 2025, had an intriguing premise—a mysterious wall traps residents inside their building overnight. Directed by Philip Koch, this German techno-thriller starts with promise but fails to deliver. The trailer built suspense, but the film quickly loses steam with a predictable plot, underwhelming performances, and unclear messaging. It flirts with being a thought experiment and a thriller but succeeds at neither. The concept had potential, but the execution is disappointingly flat. A frustrating watch for fans of intelligent thrillers.
