The film works best in its first half. It flows smoothly and has moments that feel light, cute, and even a bit funny. The chemistry between the leads feels natural, and there is an attempt to build a grounded relationship rather than a dramatic one. Siddhant Chaturvedi handles his character well, especially the speech-related limitation, bringing a certain vulnerability to the role. Mrunal Thakur adds warmth and subtle emotion.
However, the film starts losing direction after the interval. The conflicts introduced do not feel strong enough to hold the narrative. Instead of deepening the emotional connection, the story begins to stretch without adding much impact. Some character arcs feel unnecessary and do not contribute meaningfully to the central relationship.
One of the biggest drawbacks is the music. For a romantic drama, songs and background score play a crucial role, and here it feels underwhelming. The lack of memorable music reduces the emotional pull that the story tries to create.
That said, the film does have its strengths. Certain scenes are visually well-shot, and the performances remain sincere throughout. The intention to portray a quieter, more realistic love story is visible, but the execution does not fully support it.
A decent first half with good performances, but an uneven second half and weak music make it a forgettable romantic drama.
