Pooja Meri Jaan — Movie Review

Intro: Pooja Meri Jaan is a 2026 Hindi crime thriller directed by Navjot Gulati and co-directed by Vipasha Arvind. The film stars Mrunal Thakur, Huma Qureshi, Vikram Singh Chauhan and Vijay Raaz. It is currently streaming on ZEE5.

Review (90 Words): I picked up Pooja Meri Jaan for Mrunal Thakur, but its premise also caught my attention. How do men handle rejection? One may choose revenge, while another may take the extreme step of suicide. I liked the fact that the film attempts to explore this uncomfortable question. Unfortunately, the execution didn't keep me engaged. Knowing that the film was completed in 2022 also made me wonder if its treatment now feels dated. The subject is still relevant, but the storytelling didn't feel fresh enough for me. Interesting premise, average execution.

Review (90 Words):   I picked   Agra   mainly because it comes from Kanu Behl, whose work I have liked before. ( Titli & Despatch ) This is a very disturbing and unsettling film, and it is not meant for entertainment. The characters are complex and often uncomfortable to watch, reflecting deeper issues within relationships and society. Some performances stand out and add weight to the story. The film explores dar...

Image - Netflix Freedom Writers Review – A Powerful Story About Rewriting Identity and Finding Voice Intro:   Freedom Writers  (2007) is an American biographical drama directed by  Richard LaGravenese , starring  Hilary Swank . The film is based on the real-life story of teacher  Erin Gruwell  and her students, inspired by  The Freedom Writers Diary . Set in a troubled high school classroom, the film explores how education, storytelling, and empathy can transform lives. Review (90 Words):  Freedom Writers   is a deeply moving film about identity, voice, and transformation. It shows how students trapped in labels slowly find themselves through writing. The idea of using journals as a tool for expression works beautifully, turning pain into connection. While parts of the film may feel slightly idealistic, the emotional impact is strong. It is not just about teaching, but about listening and understanding. The journey feels overwhelming at times...

Built around fantasy, humour, and emotional storytelling, the film combines imaginative animation with a family-friendly message. Review (90 Words):  While many comparisons are being made with bigger animated films, I watched  Swapped  without carrying those expectations, and maybe that helped me enjoy it more. The film turned out to be a soothing and emotionally warm experience. The animation is visually beautiful, but I liked its emotional simplicity more. The story remains easy to follow while quietly carrying ...
