Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders is a haunting exploration of grief and resilience, with Kareena Kapoor delivering an emotionally nuanced performance as Sergeant Jasmeet Bhamra. After losing her son, she moves to a new town, reluctantly investigating a missing child case that stirs her own trauma. Though not a gripping thriller, the film’s portrayal of isolation and suppressed anger stands out. The slow-burn story builds to an impactful and unexpected conclusion, offering a satisfying twist. Worth a watch for Kapoor’s restrained portrayal, but lacking in sustained tension.
