Papa Yaar Review – Zakir Khan Makes You Laugh, Feel and Remember

Intro: Papa Yaar is a 2026 stand-up comedy special by Zakir Khan, built around his childhood memories, growing-up years and his relationship with his father. Running for around 70 minutes, the special mixes comedy, storytelling and emotion as Zakir looks at the many shades of a father-son relationship. Papa Yaar is streaming on Netflix.

Review (90 Words): These days, so many movies and series are about murders, horror, revenge and things going wrong. So Papa Yaar felt like a breath of fresh air. Zakir Khan takes very ordinary father-son moments and makes them spectacular. He makes you laugh, but somewhere along the way, you also feel a lot. I liked how he picks up one joke, leaves it, and brings it back later in a completely new structure — sometimes two or three times — and somehow makes it even funnier. And those credits! Seeing both his mother and father's names there was a beautiful way to end.
