The Housemaid Review – A Reasonable Twist After a Long Wait

Intro: The Housemaid is a 2025 psychological thriller directed by Paul Feig and adapted from Freida McFadden's bestselling novel. Sydney Sweeney plays Millie, a young woman who takes a live-in housemaid job with a wealthy family, where things quickly become far more complicated than they appear. Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar also star. The film is available on Prime Video. 

Review (90 Words): I liked The Housemaid, though I felt the runtime was a little too long. The film takes its time building the story, and just when you think you have figured out what is happening, it gives you a reasonable twist. That worked for me. The problem is that it drags slightly before getting to the wild final act. Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried both keep the film interesting, especially as the story gets crazier. 
Overall, it is an entertaining psychological thriller with enough twists to keep you watching.
